BONUS THREAD SUBMISSION FORM:
- Outside of their primary AC, players have the option of submitting threads that meet certain criteria as bonus threads, earning points they can put towards various rewards. Bonus threads are the main method of collecting points to go towards things like fun trinkets, housing upgrades, and learning bloomcraft, so be sure to make use of them!
What counts as a bonus thread?
- Bonus threads can come from any posts on the game's IC comm. Rather than comment count (though there is a comment minimum for bonus threads), awards are granted based on thread content. The idea is to reward players for engaging with the world and involving themselves in the setting!
With a few exceptions, bonus threads will only need five comments from you to be eligible, and you can submit up to ten bonus threads per Season.
When and where can I submit bonus threads?
- Right on this page! Just fill in the form at the bottom and submit it in the comments.
Submissions for bonus threads are permanently open, and submissions are processed on a rolling basis. Bonus threads are eligible for the month they were started and the month following – for example, if you started a thread in January, you would be free to submit it during January or February, after which its submission period would expire.
What's the bonus thread criteria?
- There are quite a few! The bonus thread criteria are split into two categories – one off and reoccurring.
One-off bonus threads reward you for reaching major milestones, such as your character's IC intro. Reoccurring bonus threads reward characters for proactively engaging in the setting and mechanics of the game.
Bonus thread criteria are as follows:
- ONE-OFF REWARDS
❤ Posted your IC intro
❤ Met Calanthe for the first time
❤ Started a player-run business
❤ Used Bloomcraft for the first time
❤ Completed a quest from the Quest Board for the first time
❤ Submitted a Bloom Bond update for the first time
❤ First in-game love confession (platonic or romantic)
REOCCURING REWARDS
❤ Tagged new CR in-game
❤ Tagged a new character on the Test Drive Meme
❤ Tagged a thread, with over 10 comments from you
❤ Hosted a mingle tagged by 3+ characters
❤ Went on a date (platonic or romantic)
❤ Confessed their love
❤ Had their first kiss with someone (once per CR!)
❤ Submitted a player plot
How many points do I get for bonus theads?
- It’s 1:1! So for every bonus thread you submit, you earn one point. If a bonus thread is eligible for multiple rewards, you may submit it as such for a maximum of two points.
What can I purchase with my points?
- Points from bonus threads can be spent on all sorts of in-game perks! You'll find full costs and options on the [Rewards Page], but to sum it up: points can go toward Bloomcraft progression, housing upgrades, and magical trinkets. We may expand this in future, so keep an eye out!
Housing I get but what counts as a 'trinket'?
- "Trinket" is our catch-all word for small magical items, but that doesn't mean it has to be an actual charm or necklace. Your trinket reward could be a cool jacket, an enchanted pastry, a flower crown, a love letter, or pretty much any item that reasonably fits the effect you're aiming for. If you're unsure, just check with the mods!
It's taking forever to save! Can I split reward costs with other players?
- Yes! Any non-Bloomcraft reward that costs more than 10 points can be split between multiple characters. For every 10 points of total cost, one extra character can chip in.
For example, a 12 point trinket can be split between two characters while a 25 point reward can go up to three contributors. Generally, all the contributors should also have some IC stake in the matter as well - i.e., if three characters all chip in to buy a housing upgrade together, all three of them should be planning to use the house.
This is both to encourage teamwork and to make it easier to unlock bigger rewards without having to grind all the points solo.
